A First Adventure

Hello. My name is Caitlin. This is me:

Let me tell you a bit about why I'm here. In exactly 9 days, I'm going on an internship to Latvia! My school is incredible, and through the goodness of many donors, I've been awarded the Global Opportunities Scholarship. I couldn't have embarked on this adventure by myself, but now I have the help I needed. I don't know why these people chose to be so generous, though I'm sure it has a lot to do with the value they see in an international expedition such as my own.

And how did they ask me to pay them back? Just by keeping them updated about what I'm doing while I'm away. What a simple request! Journal writing is something I've wanted to do more of, so of course I'm happy to oblige. 

And there you have it! You should know, I believe that such a miracle as this is not possible without the love of God guiding me and helping me achieve those little dreams that I've been thinking up over the years. God is good, people! And I'm glad for that, because I'm also keenly aware that I'll definitely need his help on such a big adventure!

I hope you'll feel free to tune in as I begin to discover just what is in store for me over these next few months. I'll be posting at least once a week, though I'm not sure what day that will end up being.
